sweetsemicolon: Got my first tattoos today! The semicolon needs to be touched up after it heals, because the top part is a little too small, but YAY! I love them, and the Vonnegut asterisk turned out perfect. I’m not going to write a dissertation on what they mean because lol no one cares except me, but I will give you quotes! “Here is a lesson in creative writing. First rule: Do not use semicolons. They are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. All they do is show you’ve been to college.”“…and there, I’ve just used a semicolon, which at the outset I told you never to use. I’ve been thinking about getting the Vonnegut asshole for a while now. He’s my absolute FAVORITE author of all time, definitely. I love the semi-colon too.
