This seems like a case of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. A little extreme.

It isn’t like these teachers don’t have a chance to be rehired though. The school is failing, and if the teachers can’t get it across to these students (ya know, the ones who REALLY matter here. Not the teacher) then new teachers SHOULD be brought in to try and help better communicate the material!
